📍Bergen - Voss

The first day of your getaway is a self guided tour. Take a picturesque train journey from Bergen to Voss. Soak in the breathtaking Norwegian fjord-landscapes as you make your way to the Heart of Fjord Norway. Upon reaching Voss, the remainder of the day is yours to settle into your accommodation, discover the charm of the town, and enjoy a delightful evening in this quaint and authentic village.
📍Voss Resort

Your first skiing day revolves around riding your skis, making a few laps on the slopes, savouring a hot beverage at Hangurstoppen, and acquainting yourself with Voss Resort. In the morning, a personalised ski lesson awaits, tailored to your skill level, emphasising safety and fundamental techniques. With the resort's morning-smoothed slopes, it's the perfect setting to develop basic skills or perhaps, raise your game! Voss Resort accommodates skiers of all levels, ensuring everyone in your group can enjoy the slopes.

📍Voss - Hardanger Fjord

On the third day, immerse yourself in the captivating landscapes surrounding Voss, venturing off the well-trodden paths. Snowshoeing caters to adventurers of all ages, and your tour will be intricately tailored to suit your preferences. Later in the afternoon, we'll venture to Myrkdalen, a mere 30-minute shuttle ride away and yet another renowned ski destination in Western Norway.
📍Myrkdalen

On the fifth day of your Heart of Fjord Norway journey, delve into a thrilling skiing experience at Myrkdalen. Included in the package is a ski lesson tailored to your specific needs so you can elevate your skiing skills in this amazing region. Myrkdalen boasts distinct yet excellent slopes, offering a chance to put your newfound skills to the test. On the final day of your package, seize the opportunity to explore Bergen, renowned as one of Norway's (and dare we say world's) most picturesque cities. Revel in its historic charm, vibrant harbor houses, and breathtaking waterfront. Your package comes complete with a ticket for the Funicular, offering a scenic ascent to Mount Fløyen, where panoramic views of Bergen and its surroundings unfold. With multiple days spent skiing out in the cold Norwegian mountains, it is important to have comfortable accommodations that will provide you with a good night’s rest.

This is why we have teamed up with some of the best hotels and lodges to ensure that your time indoors provides you with ample amenities for well-deserved relaxation. This includes Wi-Fi, TV, laundry, and on-site spa facilities.

MEALS

Breakfast is included in the tour package.

Lunches can either be bought at grocery stores in town or at ski resort restaurants (€15-€25).

Please note that tap water in Norway is some of the cleanest in the world – please refrain from purchasing bottled water.

In order to secure your spot, a 50% deposit is required to secure a place on one of Outdoor Norway Multiday tours.

45-DAY RISK-FREE BOOKING WINDOW

After making the booking reservation, you can cancel at any point during the first 45 days after booking. This buys you 6 weeks to sort out flights, vacation time, etc. and not have to worry about someone else taking your spot(s).

The final 50% has to be paid 45 days after the booking date. We will sent a payment link to your email.

FLIGHTS & TRANSFERS

Airfare is not included in this package and will need to be booked separately by the individual. Many airlines fly to Bergen including KLM, Delta, SAS, Norwegian Air, Iceland Air, and Qatar Airways.

Guests arriving on Bergen Flesland International Airport shall take a Tram to Bergen Central Station.

From Bergen Central Station you can experience a wonderful Train journey to Voss. The train ride takes just over one hour.

From the Voss Train station, is only 50 metres to your accommodation.

In Voss, all the transportation to the tour locations are included.

Our Lifetime Guarantee allows any of our Clients forced to delay a departure or wanting to switch tour packages altogether the ability to apply their initial deposit towards a later scheduled date or another Person at no extra charge. As long as you give us 61 days’ notice, your deposit will be good forever, whether you use it for the same trip or transfer it to another one. A Lifetime Guarantee has no expiration date and can be used for any departure – provided room is still available, and the accommodation availability you are welcome to join in another departure.

Simply put, we want to ensure you can enjoy the Outdoor Norway experience you want, at a time that works best for you.

A Lifetime Guarantee is also transferable, meaning that you can transfer your deposit to another Friend as a gift or for a fee, it's up to you.

WHEN DOES YOUR SEASON START AND END?

We begin winter activities once the snow blankets the mountains, and we keep at it until the snow tapers off! Typically, this spans from early December to late April, but it's entirely up to Mother Nature!

WHAT SHOULD I BRING WITH ME FOR A THIS EXPERIENCE?

Before your activity, you will receive a detailed list of recommended items to bring, including appropriate clothing and gear for the activity. This typically encompasses recommended clothing and gear such as:

Ski jacket and pants, hardshell, gloves, hat, boots
Woolen underlayers and socks
Backpack
Snacks & water
Cold-weather skin protection

DO I NEED TO BE PHYSICALLY FIT TO GO ON THIS EXPERIENCE?

We suggest that all our guests have good physical health for winter activities.

If you have any medical concerns but still wish to go skiing, we advise consulting with your doctor beforehand for your safety. Remember to always ski according to your own skill and fitness level.

DOES THIS EXPERIENCE CATER TO SENIORS?

Our winter tours have no maximum age limit; as long as you're physically fit, and you are enthusiastic, you're welcome to join!

CAN I BRING MY OWN GEAR, SUCH AS SNOWSHOES, SKIS OR A HELMET?

Yes, you may bring your own snowshoes, slalom skis and helmet.

When it comes to backcountry skis, you can bring your own skis if they have a touring binding that enables releasing the heel for uphill hiking using skins.

SHOULD I TIP MY GUIDE?

Tipping isn't customary in Norway, as it is e.g. in the USA. Our guides put in considerable effort to ensure your experience is both enjoyable and safe, maintaining the high standards set by Outdoor Norway.

While tipping is recognized as a standard practice in the industry and is always welcomed, it's never an obligation. It's entirely up to your discretion whether you choose to leave a tip. Your appreciation for the service provided is greatly valued either way.

CAN I LEAVE MY BAG/LUGGAGE AT THE BASE?

Yes absolutely, that's not an issue at all.

We have shelves available for storing your belongings while you're out on a tour. Rest assured, there's always a member of our staff present at the base, so your items will be securely looked after— nothing goes missing on our watch!

DO I NEED TO SIGN A WAIVER?

Yes.

Upon joining any activity, a waiver acknowledging risks must be read and signed. For minors, a parent or guardian is required to sign the waiver.
