Thanks for visiting Outdoor Norway! As part of government measures to help stop the spread of COVID-19, below is our operations update.

Here to communicate that based on current travel restrictions and recommendations from healthcare experts, we have postponed all upcoming bookings in April & May and shall start our outdoor operations from 1st June.

While we are really looking forward to spending time with you on the trail, rivers and fjords, your health and safety is of paramount importance to us. We are taking social distancing very seriously and urge you and yours to do the same. We will continue to monitor the situation as it evolves and will share updates on this page as we learn more.

Terms & Conditions update on 14th May

With the purpose to make your holidays plans stress free we have adopted new cancellations policy:

»» Due the COVID-19 for  “HALF DAY  &  FULL DAY TOURS” bookings made in April & May for the upcoming summer season (May until September 2020) we are implant the FLEXI-CANCELATION POLICY which offers a  FULL REFUND for cancellation made 4 days before the activity start date. ««

OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES ADOPTED:

FJORD KAYAKING – Group size 5 per guide – max group size 5 each departure

Our guides will greet all clients with hand sanitiser.

Hand sanitiser will be available to all clients throughout the journey from Voss to the Fjords & back again.

All kayaks are being cleaned diligently between every ride.

Clients are given disposable antibacterial wipes at the same time as the paddles to disinfect their own paddles before each trip.

All clients’ paddle jackets are sprayed with antibacterial and water & detergent after every use.

Guides use disposable gloves to gather client gear & load it after every trip. Clients are encouraged to wear their own polypros, merinos, fleeces, rain jackets & other outdoor appropriate gear.

RIVER RAFT – Normal group size 5 on a raft – max 10 for each departure

All wetsuits, helmets, lifejackets and booties washed with disinfectant after the trip.

All paddles will be sprayed with an aerosol disinfectant spray each trip.

Change rooms sprayed down with spray and sanitize solution every night.

Hand sanitizer stations all over base and masks are available on request.

Wipe down of all IPads for customer registration and photos on a regular basis.

Door handles and railings are being regularly wiped down

Every customer will be greeted on check in with hand sanitizer, and/or when they board the bus to head to Raft base.

MOUNTAIN BIKE – Normal group size of  5  or less for each departure

All helmets will be sprayed with an aerosol disinfectant spray each trip.

All mountain bike gloves washed with disinfectant after the trip.

Change rooms sprayed down with spray and sanitize solution every night.

Hand sanitizer stations all over base and masks are available on request.

Wipe down of all IPads for customer registration and photos on a regular basis.

Every customer will be greeted on check in with hand sanitizer.

RIVER SUP – Normal group size of 5 or less for each departure

All wetsuits, helmets, lifejackets and booties washed with disinfectant after the trip.

All paddles will be sprayed with an aerosol disinfectant spray each trip.

Change rooms sprayed down with spray and sanitize solution every night.

Hand sanitizer stations all over base and masks are available on request.

Wipe down of all IPads for customer registration and photos on a regular basis.

KAYAK & SUP RENTALS – No more than 5 people for each group

All equipment is sprayed with disinfectant after each trip.

All bike and kayak seats are wiped down and are sprayed with disinfectant after each trip.

Not writing on hands with permanent markers.

MOUNTAIN BIKE RENTAL – Normal group size of  5  or less for each group

All helmets will be sprayed with an aerosol disinfectant spray each trip.

All mountain bike gloves washed with disinfectant after the trip.

Change rooms sprayed down with spray and sanitize solution every night.

Hand sanitizer stations all over base and masks are available on request.

Wipe down of all IPads for customer registration and photos on a regular basis.

Every customer will be greeted on check in with hand sanitizer.

RETAIL STORE – OUTDOOR BASE

We are regularly sanitising everything that’s touched,

Endeavouring to get people on transport to activities ASAP, so there is less time waiting in close proximity to other travellers.

Wiping all benches, keyboard and payment terminal at regular time.
